Prep grinding removes old paint, glue, adhesive, coatings and surface contaminants, and levels high spots so sealers and coatings bond properly. Good preparation is the biggest factor in how long any floor finish lasts. It suits slabs going under epoxy, paint, resurfacing, or a polished or honed finish, and is also a good option for garage floors and worn or previously coated concrete.

Assess the surface
